Role
Play a key role in one of the UK’s leading carbon capture and hydrogen energy projects.
Our client has a requirement for a Contract Administrator, who will be required to work on a contract basis in London.
Role Purpose:
-
Support the Procurement function and Contract Holders in managing post-award contracts across the HyNet Carbon Capture Project.

Ensure full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal governance frameworks.

Provide ongoing administrative and commercial support across all phases of the contract lifecycle.
Job Role Responsibilities:
-
Act as key support for the Contract Holder in day-to-day contract administration.

Attend handover, kick-off and progress meetings, and prepare meeting minutes.

Monitor contract KPIs, track spend against contract value, and manage expiry timelines.

Ensure contractors meet all documentation and compliance requirements under the contract.

Identify and escalate any irregularities or non-conformance during contract execution.

Support resolution of contractual disputes, change requests, and claims assessment.

Liaise with contractors and internal functions (Procurement, Legal, Finance, HSE, etc.) to ensure traceable, compliant correspondence.

Collect contractor performance feedback and contribute to lessons learned documentation.

Assist in the preparation of formal correspondence and reports related to post-award contract matters.

Maintain organised contract files and ensure audit-ready documentation.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract administration or post-award contract management.

Strong knowledge of contract terms and conditions, procurement processes, and regulatory compliance (preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector).

Familiar with technical specifications, HSE requirements, and applicable standards.

Skilled in stakeholder communication, supplier liaison, and commercial problem-solving.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP (or similar ERP systems).

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Fluent in English; Italian is an advantage but not essential.

Able to work independently with a proactive and structured approach.
